Bud Wentz

Bud Wentz is the president, senior financial advisor and director of product research for Wentz Financial Group. His expertise in the financial planning business, which dates back to 1996, benefits all of Wentz’s clients, as he also oversees all of the financial advisors on the Wentz Financial staff.

Bud focuses on personalized investment planning for individuals and families to help them prepare for the future. To help in this endeavor, he educates individuals on estate planning, IRA and 401(k) investing, wealth management, and annuity strategies. He also provides retirement plan design services to businesses, which includes on-site financial education programs for the employees.

Bud believes the differentiator for Wentz Financial is in the detail of the plan and how that plan is carried out for clients. The detailed process and plan helps keep the customer focused on their financial goals and objectives so they can live out their dreams.

Tim Porter

Tim Porter joined Wentz Financial Group in 2005 and currently serves as the retirement plans director and financial advisor and leads the 401(k) division. He is also a member of the product research team.

Tim is experienced in his field and makes sure his clients truly understand their investment options by sharing his knowledge. Tim assists employers in choosing the appropriate retirement plan and helping meet a company’s specific needs. He helps participants enroll and change allocations in existing plans. In addition, he handles special requests for participants and clients such as loans, withdrawals and credit services.

Chris Prado

Chris Prado joined Wentz Financial Group in the summer of 2019 as the director of business development. In addition, he also serves as one of the practice financial advisors. 

With more than 20 years of industry experience, Chris’s knowledge and expertise will help in the team’s process of providing investment management strategies to our clients. Chris is focused on developing deep, personal relationships with clients that will allow him to deliver the appropriate financial guidance. Prior to joining Wentz Financial Group, Chris was a vice president at Federated Securities Inc., where he was responsible for managing more than $1 billion in assets covering Northeast Ohio and Columbus.

Matt Norris

Matt Norris is a financial advisor and research analyst and has been part of the Wentz team since 2014. 

Matt specializes in investment management and the development of financial plans for individuals and their families. He understands that everyone’s life situation is unique so he focuses on developing a long-term relationship to understand the clients’ needs and goals. From there, he will create a customized solution that is right for you.

As a member of the product development and product research teams, Matt performs due diligence on all the investment products we offer to clients, including stocks, mutual funds and annuities, and ensures that all staff is updated on the latest economic data and market trends to keep up with the market rotation.

Jon Lenton

In 2017, Jon Lenton joined Wentz Financial Group as a financial advisor. Jon is also an active member of the investment product review and operations teams.

He has a strong background of servicing customers on a personal level and has attained his series 7 and 63 licenses. Jon uses his expertise to educate retirement plan participants on the importance of saving. By preparing a comprehensive financial plan, he helps people who think that retirement is impossible or far in the future to realize they can reach their goals quicker than expected.

Jennifer Young

Jennifer Young is the operations manager for Wentz Financial Group and has been a valuable member of the team since 2000. Jenn has the expertise to build successful client relationships and ensure that they are happy and well positioned to accomplish all of their financial goals.

Jenn manages new client administration transfers, handles client information requests, conducts cost basis research, as well as processing new accounts and transfers. She focuses much of her attention to managing office workflow and monitoring day-to-day transactions within the practice.

Ryan Fitzgerald has been a client service specialist at Wentz Financial Group since 2022 and is a go-to resource for
clients. She handles new client onboarding, account transfers, contributions and distributions, and other daily account operations. She works with clients to build relationships and trust and helps them achieve their goals and
dreams.
Ryan is also able to assist clients in updating any of their account information or setting up Investor Access so
they can view their accounts online. Ryan also manages Bud Wentz calendar and can assist in scheduling appointments with him.

Aimee Ingersoll has been a client service specialist at Wentz Financial Group since 2023 and is a go-to resource for clients. Deborah Powers

Deborah Powers serves as the Client Service Administrator at our Ravenna location. She joined the team in 2021.

Deborah works alongside Jon for all meeting preparation. She also manages all incoming communications as well as scheduling, client on-boarding, account transfers, contributions, distributions and other daily account activity.

Victoria (Tori) Riggs

Tori Riggs joined the team in 2022. Her primary focus is to assist retirement plan participants as they enroll, change
beneficiaries or investments, as well as any other retirement plan administrative needs. She processes all service requests for our plans and is available for any non-investment related question.
In addition, she processes contributions and distributions along with preparing documents for financial advisor
meetings.
